Located in Wilmslow, the 1970’s brick built home underwent full modernisation and refurbishment during the summer of 2014.
The Barn consisted of a number of ground floor reception rooms which were outdated in appearance and in need of re-ordering internally to bring it up to date with ‘open plan living’ which is a particularly sought after requirement in modern homes.
Aura set to work in completely gutting the interior and exterior and creating an open plan living space. Extensions were added to three elevations in reclaimed brick in order to replicate the existing house. Internally the project was finished with high quality fixtures and fittings and complimented with a state of the art electronic smart system, offering maximum control over lighting, heating, audio and visual equipment.
Externally the appearance was enhanced with new windows and doors, patios and paving and a completely landscaped garden to complement the curved driveway and stone/brick gateposts and electronic bespoke entry gate.
The finished result offers a modern, light, open plan home and the extensions blend into the existing structure seamlessly creating an appearance of consistency and age in the appearance of the building.
