Carr House Farm is one of the latest developments form Aura, the stunning new build cottage is currently being constructed in Cotswold stone built in a random course to replicate the appearance of a typical Cotswold style cottage.
The cottage, located on an incredible 16 acre plot in Adlington will feature some elaborate window sets including a main central gallery window on the ground and first floors. The roof structure is to be built from reclaimed stone and windows will be in beautiful bronze casements.
The project which commenced in October 2015, will develop into the refurbishment of the adjacent redundant barn, originally built in Cheshire brick with stone roofing which is currently in a state of disrepair. The foundations will be underpinned and defective sections of the walls will be sympathetically removed and replaced with brick to match the original.
Ultimately, Aura’s intentions are to link both the cottage and restored barn to provide an outstanding new build house with barn style annex. The project is due to be complete in October, the final section of the contract will entail extensive external groundworks to present a York stone paved driveway, impressive stone gate pillars and will be fitted with electronic gates.
