Aura are thrilled to have been appointed by Donald Insall Architects to undertake the Conservation of Flint Town Hall in North Wales.
The picturesque gothic tudor style building was originally designed by Mr John Welsh and built in 1840. It was constructed of sandstone on two storeys, forming a rectangular gabled structure flanked at both ends by octagonal embattled turrets and complete with balcony.
The project entails restoration works to elevations, repointing, full stonework repairs and overhaul of windows including stained glass replacement. The project also involves roofing repairs, including repair to leadwork, replacement to damaged slate and replacement of rainwater goods. Also Internally, restoration works include repairs to lathe and plaster.
Aura are eager to kick start 2018 with this prestigious project!
