Aura Heritage LTD - Our Story

AURA has developed and continued to expand and grow under the results driven leadership of Managing Director Dave Harry.

Striving for excellence and through the successful completion of numerous heritage and conservation projects as Principal. Carrying out complex and often sensitive restorations, hybrid projects, new build, and maintenance, AURA have been entrusted to work on an array of the UK’s finest historic buildings, landmarks and Ancient Scheduled Monuments.

Originally born from the passion of our late founder Craig Liddle for conserving historic buildings and architecture for future generations, the team has continued to develop over 100 years combined specialist experience. We are privileged to include three generations amongst our inhouse restoration operatives.

Drawing on our wealth of expertise our services include all aspects of Heritage and Conservation, Hybrid Old Meets New, Maintenance Insurance and Emergency Repairs and New Build.

  • We have 2 bases, one in our main office in Cheadle Hulme and also our new office at the Edward Pavillion, on the docks in Liverpool!

Dave Harry - Managing Director

Dave Harry leads the Aura team as Managing Director and has over 25 years’ experience in construction. With a background as a QS and in commercial management Dave has developed and implemented procedures to ensure a results orientated ethos. With his natural ability to lead, Dave is committed and focused on developing and cultivating strong working relations withal stakeholders and our proposed project team members.

He has been involved in the project cost management of many of our significant historic restoration, heritage extension and construction projects throughout the North West, across the leisure, public and educational sectors.

Peter Jamieson - Contracts Director

Peter is one of our most senior contracts Directors and our sector lead for historic buildings having over 30 years’ experience in heritage extension, restoration, and refurbishments. With a trade background within the Building Conservation industry, Peter is able to apply both practical and technical knowledge to ensure cost effective benefits with minimal intrusion to listed structures and buildings.

Pete Jamieson - Linked In

James Foy - Contracts Manager

James is an extremely experienced knowledgeable engaging and proactive contracts manager. He is highly experienced in overseeing external works, civils and street works across the public realm and busy city centres and campus’ such as the University of Liverpool. He brings to this Project, skills and knowledge learnt from the delivery of current new build projects where delicate works were carried out whilst still ensuring the safety of all surrounding stakeholders including student and workers alike whilst also ensuring minimal disruption to the general public

Jane Bell - Pre Construction Manager

Jane has over 22 years’ experience in construction.

She is a respected member of the Aura management team and has built up an excellent reputation with customers and consultants due to her honest, down to earth and non-adversarial approach to cost and contract management.

She has been involved in the project cost management of many of our historic projects throughout the North West across the leisure, public and educational sectors. Jane has worked closely with our proposed site management team being themain cost manager managing the commercial arrangements in terms of the multiple of projects delivered for Aura.

Pam Black - SHEQ & HR

Pam celebrates 15 years at Aura Heritage this year and is a vital member of our team. Pam takes care of H&S within the company, any HR queries and she even helps with finances and accounts when needed. Pam is in charge of office operations at our offices and overseas the day to day running of our business.

Ben has worked in the Heritage and Building Industry for just over 2 years’ experience in construction.

Tom Clark - Pre Construction & Customer Care

Tom will work closely with you from conception through to completion of the project. Tom cares about regenerating historic buildings knowing how valuable the building is the client and the value they bring to the community as a whole. Tom’s main focus is to ensure quality standards and met and any defects or delays are resolved as quickly as possible.

Robbie Cunningham - Technical Apprentice

Robbie is the youngest member of our team at 17 years old. He started the company last year as 16 year old apprentice looking to get into the construction industry. He started role in the accounts department inputting invoices. He now is in our procurement department, ordering materials and plant for all of projects on site. Robbie is looking to work in all area's of our business as his career progresses.

He currently attends college at Wigan & Leigh college once a week and hopes to use this knowledge to fulfil his potential.

Tasnim Muhit - Finance Assistant

Since working here at Aura, Tasnim has had healthy progression in her apprenticeship . In 2023 Tasnim achieved her L2 AAT Diploma in Accounting, this year she decided to transfer to BPP Manchester where she is continuing to L3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Tasnim hope's to use the knowledge acquired in Level 3 on the job to put Accounting teachings into real world practice as well as working to her best potential.
